ABOUT Tailwind
Tailwind is a UK visual communications agency with 15+ years producing branded video content for major British companies across retail, healthcare, and technology. They sit between traditional production house and creative consultancy - clients come to them for video that needs to land commercially, not just look good.
The challenge
Tailwind's existing client base was strong but largely repeat work. Outbound to net-new accounts had never been a consistent channel for them, and the prospects who needed video most weren't always the ones actively searching for a production partner. They needed a way to identify businesses with a clear, observable need for video - and reach the right person before a competitor did.
Our approach
We built three signal-based segments rather than relying on industry alone. The first targeted businesses with active recruitment campaigns, who typically need careers content, employer brand video, and onboarding assets.
The second targeted companies with a single in-house marketer trying to scale social - under-resourced teams who would benefit from outsourced video production.
The third targeted businesses confirmed as exhibiting at upcoming UK and Ireland tradeshows, where pre-event content has a fixed deadline and budget.
Outreach was tailored per segment and aimed at owners, MDs, and marketing decision-makers (Marketing Directors, Heads of Marketing, and Marketing Managers running the channel day-to-day). Each segment had its own message, its own timing logic, and its own conversion path.
